The Holiday Lights Festival

A celebration of community and holiday spirit

In the heart of December, the tight-knit community of Lost Hills comes alive for the annual Holiday Lights Festival. Hosted by Lost Hills Park, this event has become a cherished tradition, bringing families and friends together to celebrate the holiday season in a magical way.

In a town where a high concentration of our employees live and work, this annual event serves as a pinnacle for community, connection, and inspiring acts of kindness that embodies the true spirit of the holiday season.

The Holiday Lights Festival is not just a local event, it's a community-wide extravaganza that captures the spirit of the season. The town transforms into a winter wonderland, with houses in brilliant lights and decorations, each one vying for the title of the best holiday display and a chance at a trip to Disneyland. The friendly competition fosters a sense of camaraderie among neighbors eager to participate, hoping to pack their bags for a magical adventure.

Children of all ages in the Lost Hills Parks & Recreation programs take center stage during the festival, showcasing their talents with songs and dances. Cultural traditions shine through the tamale contest in which locals showcase their delicious family recipes. Mariachi bands from both Wonderful College Prep Academy campuses played popular festive songs while families immersed themselves in the festivities, enjoying interactions with farm animals, partaking in face painting, and capturing memorable moments with Santa, creating lasting memories for both young and old.

However, the Holiday Lights Festival is about much more than just friendly competition and winning prizes. It's a time for the Lost Hills community to come together and take a collective break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The event provides a communal space, allowing families to connect, friends to reunite, and neighbors to share in the joy of the season.
