Wonderful in California’s Central Valley
California’s Central Valley is larger than nine states. It produces two-thirds of the nation’s fruits and over 90 percent of the nation’s nuts. As one of America's biggest agriculture operations, our pomegranate, almond, pistachio, mandarin orange, and other citrus orchards cover 200 square miles of California's Central Valley - a region that is home to 3,000 employees and their families.
Yet while its soil is rich, it’s one of the poorest regions in the United States. Paradoxically, many of those who farm and pick these fruits don’t have access to them in their own communities. With a focus on Kern County, we collaborate with local partners to strengthen Central Valley residents’ health, education, families, and futures.
