Children’s dance program sparks community spirit

Fostering community engagement in Lost Hills through youth dance programs

The Wonderful Company, the Resnicks, and their foundation, have a long-standing commitment to enriching the lives of the residents in Lost Hills. Thanks to their support for Lost Hills Parks & Recreation programming, residents can engage in a variety of recreation programs and access countless resources. From sports facilities and playgrounds to community events, fitness classes, and more, this hub of engagement caters to diverse interests and age groups within the community.

Central to recreation offerings is the children’s dance program, which teaches a wide range of dance styles, including ballet and hip-hop for children ages 5 to 12. Gathering twice a week, the dance program provides a structured platform for participants to explore their love for dance and develop fundamental skills.

I developed a strong desire to give back to my community. I chose to dedicate my free time to assisting young girls in our dance community. My goal was not only to enhance their dancing skills, but also to teach them how to interact with others effectively.

The dance program fosters a sense of unity and togetherness, and it also serves as a stepping stone for children to stay active through other Lost Hills Parks & Recreation offerings, as well as through sports programs at their schools.
